Text the Papuan police chief to free the KNPB activists

UPDATE  (21st May): Three of the KNPB members have been released but Victor Yeimo remains in prison. We have a new phone number for the Japura police chief: +62852 4466 7949. Please phone or text (SMS) calling for Victor’s release.

On 13th May four activists from the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) were arrested at a peaceful demonstration in Jayapura. They have reportedly been beaten. We are extremely concerned for their safety. Please send a text message (SMS) or telephone to the head of police in Papua requesting that they release the activists and let him know we are watching.

“Bebaskan Victor Yeimo dan aktivis KNPB. Kami mengawasi dengan cermat apa yang Anda lakukan. Anda harus Menghormati hak asasi Manusia Internasional. ”

Translation: “Free Victor Yeimo and the KNPB activists. We are watching closely what you are doing. You must respect international human rights.”
