Support for West Papua from Bob Marley’s band The Wailers

On 21st March, West Papuan Independence Leader Benny Wenda met with The Wailers, the band of the legendary reggae artist Bob Marley, in Oxford, United Kingdom.

They gave their solidarity and support for the people of West Papua’s struggle for freedom against colonialism and genocide. When performing on stage, lead singer Joshua David Barrett saluted all freedom fighters and said “Raise your fist in their air!…From Ethiopia to West Papua people are fighting for freedom!”

Massive respect and thanks to the Wailers for all their support, solidarity and awareness for the people of West Papua. One day West Papua will be free!
